Our favourite plugins - HaukeWebs

I have compiled a list of plugins that I use on basically all my websites. I know them quite well, so I feel comfortable enough to really recommend them. Enjoy :).

1. All In One WP Security & Firewall

This plugin is so important, that is why it is number one. You need to protect your WordPress site from hackers and spammers. You can easily set up user lockout, and a basic firewall. You can change the settings on this plugin so it automatically blocks a user after 3 tries, or block someone who tries to log in with a different username etc. It works really well.

2. WordPress SEO by Yoast

This plugin is really awesome, you can easily edit your pages’ and posts’ titles and descriptions so you can have a better ranking in Google. It is really easy to use and works well.

3. Jetpack

This plugin is so versatile, it has a wide range of things you can do with it. You can auto-post your blogposts to you social media profiles, allows users to easily share your website content on their social media pages and so much more. The best functionality for me is the fact that it has built-in site stats, this allows you to see how many visitors you had on your site, which pages and posts they visited and how they found your site.

4.Contact Form 7

This contact form plugin I use on all my websites. It is so easy to use and you can customise your contact forms easily, as well as the emails you receive. There are add-ons available to extend it’s functionality as well. Another advantage is that because it is such a well-known plugin, if you encounter a error, the chances that someone else encountered that same error and found a solution to it is very good, so it can be resolved easily.

5. WP Smush

This plugin is really nice to optimise your images. This helps speed up your website and reduce loading time.  The plugin allows you to bulk optimise existing photos on your website, and from there it optimises your images automatically when they are uploaded.  It is always nice to have a fast website :).

6. Cyclone Slider

This is the BEST slider plugin I have found so far. You can easily create and add sliders to your posts and pages. You can add multiple sliders and images to your sliders, add titles and descriptions…It works really well. It is really reliable and really flexible.

7. WP Statistics

I just discovered this plugin, and I must say, I am impressed. Not only does it tell you how many visitors you had on your website, it tells you which  browsers they are using and where they from. How cool is that!?

This post will be  updated if I find more plugins. Will keep you posted :).
